ABOUT

Seear-Budd Ross is a New Zealand-based architecture and interiors practice, founded in 2019 by Thomas Seear-Budd and James Ross. Their work is defined by a pursuit of clarity and restraint, with a focus on high-end private residences and select commissions across interiors and objects.

Every project begins with a search for essential spatial sequences and sensorial qualities. By embracing the conditions of a site and the opportunities within a brief, they shape architecture that is serene, enduring, and deeply connected to its inhabitants.

Material is central to their approach: pure, tactile, and honest in expression. Surfaces, volumes, and junctions are handled with precision, allowing light, proportion, and geometry to define the atmosphere of a space.

Whether at the scale of a room, a house, or a crafted detail, their work traces back to the same preoccupations — clarity, restraint, and purity. In this way, Seear-Budd Ross create architecture that elevates the everyday through spaces of quiet resonance and lasting calm.
