This project locates a world of stillness within the pulse of the city. Conceived as a sequence of atmospheres, the interior unfolds through shifts of compression and release, light and shadow, solidity and reflection. Stone, stainless steel and textured walls are arranged with a quiet precision, their presence felt through weight, reflection and shadow.

The client’s passage is imagined as a gradual retreat: from the brightness of reception, across a field of bluestone, into the cave-like quiet of the hair spa where sound softens and time seems to suspend. Each encounter — the sheen of steel, the cool face of stone, the muted depth of wall — recalls landscapes of Aotearoa, where water, rock and shadow meet in shifting light.

Stravinskij is both salon and sanctuary, an architecture of memory and renewal, where the rituals of care are mirrored in the poise of the space itself.
